1Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

2In a large bowl , cream softened unsalted butter , packed brown sugar , and granulated sugar with a hand mixer until smooth and fluffy.unsalted butter: 1 cup, packed brown sugar: 1 cup, granulated sugar: 1/2 cup

3Add eggs and pure vanilla extract ; beat until light.eggs: 2, pure vanilla extract: 1 tsp

4Add baking soda , ground cinnamon , and all-purpose flour . Mix until just incorporated.baking soda: 1 tsp, ground cinnamon: 2 tsp, all-purpose flour: 1.5 cups

5Stir in old-fashioned oatmeal (uncooked) and a full bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips (or substitute raisins, craisins, and/or chopped walnuts) with a wooden spoon .old-fashioned oatmeal: 3 cups, semi-sweet chocolate chips: 12 oz

6Using a cookie scoop , scoop dough into rounded balls and place 2 inches apart on prepared baking sheets. (Unbaked dough balls can also be frozen on a tray and baked fresh as needed!).

7Bake at 350°F for ⏱️ 10 to 12%minutes until edges are lightly golden.

8Cool on baking sheet for ⏱️ 3 minutes , then transfer to a wire cooling rack .
